We {Heart} Books Virtual Book Exchange
After thoroughly enjoying Oak and Oats and Elah Tree's The Great Christmas Exchange, as soon as I saw Leigh Kramer tweet about the We {Heart} Virtual Book Exchange, I knew I wanted to participate:

So I signed up and eagerly awaited my match, who turned out to be Katie, one of the hosts of the exchange.
I sent Katie a copy of The Light Between the Oceans, one of the best fiction books I've read as of late. When I read this book, I deeply connected with it's main character. Based on Katie's online footprint, I suspect she'll see herself in that character as well.
Katie, in turn, sent me two books (Clearly, she's an overachiever!)
It kills me that I have not yet had time to sit down and devour these - especially Drops Like Stars , which I've wanted to read for ages.
That said, what was even better than receiving the books themselves (which is always a delight for a bibliophile like myself), was the e-mail Katie sent explaining her choices and sending her prayers. That e-mail came amidst a week when I needed to hear the exact words she spoke - She will never know just just how much of a gift that was.
